Not sure how to fix this?

HI all, I've been muddling my way thru zen-cart for the last week or so and have pretty much got my site looking the way I want to. However, there are a couple of issues that I can't seem to resolve, and I am hoping someone here can help me?

1. On my site, at the top near my logo is a box with a red 'x' in it that links back to my home page. I don't want that link / box there at all, but can't find where to fix it?

2. I've d/loaded the AusPost shipping mods and for some reason my PostParcel and ExpressPost are coming up with too much $$ on them. For instance, the PostParcel is coming up with around AUD$7.50 for the price of shipping, when it should really be only around the AUD$4.90 mark. Can anyone help me with this at all?

1. create a blank 1px transparent image named logo.php and upload it to your custom template image directory.

2. in admin, look under the configure tab for shipping
set the tare weight

I changed the tare weight but it still not showing the correct amount... although it did lower the price from AUD$7.45 to AUD$6.75... is there anything else I could change?

Will try the 1pixel thingy as well. thanks for your help:)
