Direct Bank desposit module for downloadable goods

Ok I downloaded and installed the direct bank deposit module... which seemed to be just what I needed... all looks good in admin but it doesn't show up as a payment option. Then I re-read the readme file to be sure I hadn't missed something and sure enough found the following ...

'It also now features virtual products switch, so that its turned off if downloadable products are ordered. Other features include sort order, order status and ones.'

Does that mean it won't work at all for downloadable products? Or do I just have to change an option somewhere?

I am a total noob at this so am not quite sure where to go next but I'd really like to be able to accept direct desposit payments and I know it can happen as I've seen it at other sites with downloadable products! help!

ok so have done some playing and set up a test non-downloadable priduct and the direct deposit module works perfectly...

So is there a way to change/modify the module to work with downloadable products????
