Ready for Primetime!

After several rewarding weeks of hammering away (thanks to this forum for all the pearls of wisdom) my completely redesigned 1.3 upgrade is ready to unveil to the public. My question is as follows:
I am planning to transition from my old Zen Cart (http://goldenapplels.com/ZcartGA/index.php?main_page=)
to my new Zen Cart (http://www.goldenapplels.com/ZENcart...php?main_page=)
late tonight. My plan is to rename the new cart with the name of the old cart, replacing the old Zen Cart folder completely. I'm hoping this will allow everything to switch over seamlessly - Search Engines, Security Cert., Links etc. Does anyone see a downside to this, or have a better suggestion? Thanks for any help!

PS I do plan to copy my MYSQL db right before I do the switch.

It just goes to show how much there is to not know. I had no idea these images were so large and slow! I ran my old (err.. current) site through the optimizer and it was too big to even rate! I'll be more careful from here on out, I promise!
