how do i display navigation buttons jus below the header

sorry i am very new to this now having trouble with doing is project.

i have another question to ask , sry if i ask some dumb questions.

i would like to take away features product and monthly specials in the center box

how can i go about doing that?

They can be turned off in:

admin -> configuration -> index listing

how can i create buttons which will link to

http://localhost/zencart/index.php?main_page=contact_us

and other pages?

rather then it is display in the information box at the side?
