Can I import newsletter mailing list?

I have a mailing list on a separate server than my Zen Cart site. Can I import this list via an Excel spread sheet to my present site.
If so what file or location do I download it to. I will be using this list for my Newsletter in Zen Cart.

In the current version of Zen Cart (v1.3.8a), there is no built-in facility for newsletter-only subscribers. All the built-in newsletter tracking is based on opt-ins by actual customers in your store.

Thanks for the info. But is there an area that I can download these customer eMail addresses. These are clients who visited our present site. We will be migrating our Zen carts site to our present site sometime next week. I would like to Save or at least re-couperate these emails ahead of the migration.

I really appreciate the responses and help you and your co-workers have given me during this installation process, IOt has been very helpful and also very rewarding.

You'd have to create actual customer records for each one and subscribe them.

There's a very old "newsletter subscribe" addon that some folks have used with varying degrees of success. I don't usually recommend it because it's very code-intrusive and tough to install.

Have you played with the Zen Cart newsletter functionality? Are you comfortable with its features? If not, maybe you should go the other direction and use an external newsletter-management / email-marketing service such as one of those listed here: http://www.zen-cart.com/partners

We used this mod in a similar situation:

It's still a manual process, but it allowed us to create a 'customer' with only the email address and password.
