I have searched and posted on many forums with little to no replies.

I want to know about the security of open source shopping carts.

My host supports Zencart with a one click install.

How does one begin to secure their online store?

Open your /docs/ directory and read the security recommendations.

Open source carts are generally very very secure because any vulnerabilities are found and fixed very quickly ... no waiting months or years like with our favorite operating system.
