Someone my roommate can't find anymore set it up for him so we have no idea how to get into those areas. If it weren't for the fact he needs the cart system I would rip the whole thing out and go HTML with flash for the front end. Plus I have to reconnect after hours to take the house router out of the loop to get to FTP. I know so little about zencart I am honestly out of my depth when it comes to anything beyond the self-evident. I have pretty much figured out how the frontend works but the backend is beyond my knowledge, let alone interest.
type in the url egwww.mydomain.com/cpanel
enter the user name and password - thats all u need and ur in
I have downloaded the newest release changed files zip, as we have talked about upgrading, but I don't want to wipe out his site trying to upgrade to the newest release. I saw that there is an image handler add-in but it says some other pieces I have never heard of are needed in order to install it. He has several other sites he said I an upgrade first to walk through the process, but again I'm really not that hot on becoming a zencart expert.
Does the newest release update all the files that have changed across all versions or do I have use the full install version.
I get a 404 error.
Don't try to do the upgrade, rather stick to fixing the broken links
upgrades need step by step merging, and there are template overides in place - see in this bold structure - that's his overrides so that the custom work is not lost:
/public_html/includes/languages/english/html_includes/ADP/define_main_page.php
If I could just figure out what folder the images are hiding in.
But we should probably upgrade the site, his zencart is copyrighted 2003. I gotta believe there have been some significant improvements in usability since then. On top of that it would be nice to add the Image Handler plug-in.
But for now I would settle for just finding the image folder.
We are preparing to do new photo work for the catalog and being able to post new images without a lot of hoop jumping would be nice.
who's hosting the site?
