Override: Invoice Logo

Nothing under the admin directory can be overridden yet.

First off, I have to say that the override system is ingenious. Once I got my brain around it, it's easy to use and works like a charm. So after multiple (unsuccessful) attempts to override the invoice logo in Admin I went searching for answers. To my dismay I learned that the Admin was exempt!
This being the case, if I want to replace the ZEN logo with my logo on the invoice (and everywhere else the Zen logo was, whether I want to or not) I must actually replace a core file, meaning the admin logo.gif, correct? Won't this get overwritten? And isn't this also the case for a number of files where the invoice and packing slip are concerned, since they too are contained within the Admin?

At this time, there is not an override method of the Admin ... and all references to the logo are the same ...

We will be looking in to this further when we redo the Admin ...

Do you mean that if I name my logo "logo.gif" as the Zen logo is named, it won't get overridden?

Along those same lines, if I make modifications to invoice.php will they be overwritten?

I am saying it will get overwritten and there are no overrides in the Admin at this time ...
