Tables deleted i Zen Cart

I am setting a zen cart shop, but experienced a scary deletion of 13 tables when using admin to configure the shop. The application was installed with the latest version from the webhost "fantastico" interface. I had been working on the setup for 3 weeks when suddenly it failed. The first table that was missing was the cache table, but I found that total 13 tables where affected. I am a little scared after this... I had a backup ofcourse, but the shop went down for hours.

Does anyone have an idea of what went wrong here?

Did you contact your host to see if they updated their servers at all? I recently encountered a situation where my host migrated servers with ruined some of the paths in the store configuration for a client of mine. I ran the 'Fix Cahe Tool' that is available in the 'Downloads' section of this site and it corrected everything no problem.
