any users of e-path here?

Hi,
I'd like to hear from genuine users how this "e-path" gateway works and if they're satisfied? I hope it's possible since the system seems so new. There's only 1 live store for demo... and there's no user forum (but that might be common for payment gateways)
But correct me if I'm wrong here: e-path being manual, you actually have to physically go to your bank and fill in slips to process the payments, is that right?

Not yet, but very soon. when my sites up and running.
done heaps of research and have signed up with e-path.
yes it will be manual. i currently take phone orders and have an eftpos machine where i enter cc details.(i don't go to the bank except to ask for more money)
I am only a small operator and i would imagine it would be no good for someone doing heaps of cc payments. The thing i liked most was the no transaction fees.
i looked at eway as well but at .50c a charge it was too much for my small payments. I will still have charges on my merchant account, but have that now with my phone orders.
Once i'm up and running i'll post my website and you can buy something off me.

You might find that hard as the official e-Path module for Zen has only been completed and announced about a week ago. And that was thanks to DrByte.

I'm redoing my own site into a customised mega one - about a week away. I will post a link to it if I'm allowed.

But you are right, you charge the card manually with e-Path. Some like the automation of real time but for me personally I hate the cost and there is a security issue which I won't get into again.

I'm with StGeorge/Bank SA with a manual MOTO merchant account. Very cheap. But I'm seriously considering upgrading to their "Merchant Administration Console" which would enable to me directly enter card numbers into my merchant account via the web. All banks have them they just call them different names. I will then just charge what e-Path collects into there. It is still cheaper than going with a real time payment gateway and a fair bit more secure too cause I get a chance to check the orders before I charge the card.

But that's my 2c worth anyway.

Thanks for the info Jumbuck. But just to be clear, you made the website e-path use as their demo site, so you're somewhat connected to them, am I wrong?

No. I had an OSCommerce cart with e-Path and I wanted to change to Zen Cart a fair while ago but they didn't have a module for me. I put a bit on them but my feeling is they just didn't have the knowledge of Zen Cart code to do anything. They told me that if I developed one they would give me a mention on their site, so I tried to do one myself with the help of a few zenners here but we all couldn't quite pull it off. They allowed me full access to numerous Zen Cart installs on their demo site which was great. DrByte stepped in to kindly help and he ended up with the acknowledgement on their demo site - and rightly so.

Its been great talking directly with a gateway who appears really keen about Zen Cart, they are now promoting Zen Cart with OSC all through their main site. I've never seen a gateway do this before, or even put up a demo site like they have. I'm happy to have contributed to getting Zen Cart included.

So no, I have nothing to do with e-Path outside what I've explained above but I have no hesitation in telling you I'm very happy with their gateway and the module DrByte did works great.

Is the Australian E-Path Module available for download by any chance ?
I have an enquiry from a lady who use it with her OSC site - but she is thinking of me hosting her new Zen Cart :)

I can see a USA ePay module - but it does not quite look the same !

Any comments greatly appreciated !

Hi aussie,
If she has an account with e-Path she only needs to ask them for the module for Zen and they'll send it. I just don't know whether I have the authority to drop it in here for you but I'll check with them tomorrow. The USA epay module is to a different gateway.

It would be nice if it was posted here at ZenCart as there's a lot of Aussie's here that could benefit from such a module.
And since there was quite a lot of Zen Help to get it going - only fair I think ! ;)
