Ok first let me state - I just realized this thread was for "installing on a windows server" My server is a linux/unix

I started by installing from fantasico yes it installed 1.3.0.1 when i logged into the admin center I saw the bugfix notice so i figured better go ahead and update now before i started with any modifying I went and downloaded the "changed files only " zip from sourceforge I uploaded all the files to their respective folders and then ran the sql patch to update the DB afterwards I changed the chmod back to 444 (and 644) and couldn't get into the admin center no matter what I try or do I still get the forbidden file (i have have someone else try as well from a completely different computer and ip address and same error) Then i read on the forum about just replacing the admin folder from the "full release" which I have done and still nothing I have tried changing the config files to false and true for the SSL and still nada

Let's delete the /admin/.htaccess file altogether for a test.

By the way, there doesn't appear to be anything in the 1.3.0.2 patch that would be causing any problems accessing the admin area. However, that doesn't negate the fact that you're experiencing a problem.

After deleting the admin/.htaccess file, try accessing the admin area again. If it fails, please post the recent entries from errorlog again ... maybe the message will have changed... <here's hoping>

Since I haven't done any product adding or customizing yet maybe I should just take out everything delete the mysql database and start over from scratch this time only doing it myself from the full release rather then use fantastico and the patches? one thing I noticed though when i downloaded the file from sourceforge there was no config file in the admin/includes (hoping i don't go confusing you ..lol) it is there now b/c it was there when i had originally installed it was just an observation that if I go and try to reinstall the cart am I going to be missing files or is that a file that creates itself?

I will wait to hear back from you before i remove everything.

    Thxs,

    1. I'm not sure what it's meaning when it talks about this in the errorlog:
    .htaccess pcfg_openfile
Is there a file by that name somewhere? I'm guessing it's part of an error message and not an actual filename ... but I don't recall seeing it before, so am not certain.

    2. If you wish to reinstall from scratch, that's fine.
The configure.php files have to be created by you, and the installation instructions talk about how to do that.... but you don't have to edit them... simply create them (even from the samples provided), and mark them as read/write, etc.

Re: problems with getting to the admin page

Unfortunately I have 1.2.7 will the following suggested fix work with that file also???

Or should I install as stated in the directions, write over everything and then just load up the two tables or is it three -- the products, products description and categories. Would that be workable??? The go in an manually set up the admin configuration??? Will that give and error????

    Thanks

Did you run the SQL commands posted here?

If not, that should solve the problem of the "Duplicate entry" error you're reporting.
For easy access, in the v1.3.0.2 download, there is a script for this, found in zc_install/db_rebuild_autoincrement.sql which you can load via phpMyAdmin

Yes, it should work fine, except that you'll get an error about the ezpages table not existing.... so you can skip that line.

An additional suggestion has been added to your other post: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...835#post222835
