Set default country in shipping address

I am customizing shipping address for shipping to a single country. It would be helpful to preselect the country for the customer. Can someone help me which files need to be changed for doing this. Thanks for your time

If you want to control the Country on the Create Account, there is a setting in the Configuration ... Customer Details ... for:

Create Account Default Country ID
Set Create Account Default Country ID to:
Default is 223
