Newbie Guide to Making Modules

I have a module, payment module, which I would like to make work in Japanese. Can anyone tell me where to begin to make this work? Is there a guide anywhere on how to do this? I don’t need you to tell me what to do; I just need to be pointed in the right direction. But if you do want to tell me what to do, then by all means, do so.

By "module, which I would like to make work in Japanese", do you mean that you are using an existing module, but you would like to display it in Japanese?

If this is the case, then you should just need to create a new language file. These are located in includes/languages/JAPANESE DIRECTORY/modules/payment/NAME OF MODULE.php

If you are creating a module from scratch, you'll need to create the la nguage file above, and also the actual class file. The class is declared in includes/modules/payment/NAME OF MODULE.php

My advise would be to choose a module which works similarly, and then read through, and copy the design to suit your needs.
