Shortening URLS on Ultimate URLS

Thats the whole point of this mod.
To have p-4002.html gives no benefit to you at all, you want keywords in the url.
If you want a url like that just uninstall this and use zens default code.

Apparently you misunderstand the reason why modrewrite is used for SEO purposes. It is not to put keywords in the URL. It is to make the urls look like static pages, which the search engines usually rank better and have less trouble indexing. Google and Yahoo do not put any value on having the keywords in the page name. MSN does put some value on it but not enough to make much of a difference.

If I have the URLS rewritten into page names such as this,
lepage-w-laurence-wynn-laurence-le-page-the-abc-of-flight-p-4002.html
then Google will probably ban those pages and maybe my whole site because a page with so many dashes is probably spam and Goggle sees it that way.

If someone could answer my question, that would be nice.

I assume that you mean shortening my titles. That is not possible. A title of a book is a title and can't be shorten, neither can the author. Besides that it is not the easiest way. I will probably have to spend a couple hours figuring this out but if I shortened the titles it would take 20 hours maybe 40 hours to do it. Certainly not easier.
