Apparently you misunderstand the reason why modrewrite is used for SEO purposes. It is not to put keywords in the URL. It is to make the urls look like static pages, which the search engines usually rank better and have less trouble indexing. Google and Yahoo do not put any value on having the keywords in the page name. MSN does put some value on it but not enough to make much of a difference.Originally Posted by Reesy
If I have the URLS rewritten into page names such as this,
lepage-w-laurence-wynn-laurence-le-page-the-abc-of-flight-p-4002.html
then Google will probably ban those pages and maybe my whole site because a page with so many dashes is probably spam and Goggle sees it that way.
If someone could answer my question, that would be nice.
