Extra Charge showing up in Total

I have my shop almost ready to go but when i test a product, an extra fee shows up in the total and I do not know where it is coming from

It is the $5.10 fee that has be baffled. It tuns out to be exactly 15% of the $34 but I have no clue where and why this shows up. If it double the order, the fee is doubled.

Does anyone know where this is coming from and how to fix it?

Did you try to set up the taxes and then only delete part of them?

Kim, I believe I only have taxes set for CA. The test I am runnning is for OH. I have tried other states with the same result.

I can not tell it the + : $5.10 is a tax or some other extra fee added. Is there any mode or screen that will show where all the fees are being included from?

do you have a COD fee turned on?

COD is set to off and I had set the value to $0.00

What else would cause this and is there any dbug feature to find out the source?

Hallooo...

In Admin. Point to MODULES and select SHIPPING. Scroll down to "TABLE RATE" -> EDIT -> ENABLE TABLE METHOD -> set to "FALSE"

The shipping charge table rate of $8.95 is correct it is the additional $5.10 (15% charge)

Sub-Total: $34.00

I set up a new product for $10.00. I went through adding it to my cart and getting to checkout. It adds $1.50 (15%). This is a tax being added and have verified that by changing the product to nontaxable and can see the 15% charge goes away.

Tax is enabled only for california. When I make the shipping address for california, the +: (tax) is 15%+the configured tax say 8.75% for a total of 23.75%

When I change the shipping address outside CA and have the product taxable (no tax should be applied outside CA), I get 15% added.

I cannot see where or why the 15% is being added and where to turn it off.

I can really use some help to figure out where this is coming from.

Suggest you delete ALL tax settings and re-do them. Tha FAQs should help - http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/faq.php?faq=zone_tax_cfg
