End of the story...I bought a CSS editing program from MacRabbit http://www.macrabbit.com/cssedit/
and now my editing chores are a breeze! Really. I fixed all my problems in abourt an hour, and on all platforms. Very cool.

Just a little minor glitch around line 189 where you need a { in front of margin-bottom.

Another tip is to watch out for blank div's that have an id

<div id="something"></div>

will show as a space rather than disappear.

The site is looking GREAT and a click on the Valid XHTML link at the bottom of your page will help put you over the top.
