    Keith,

Not a problem, clients can be testy at times...but it is in your interest to guide them to the most pruden conclusion.

ZenCart has so many slick functions and modules to add additional ones that it would be a shame not to attempt to use them. The list is so long that I really can not do it justice, Just leave it at the most things an online shop owner could want are probably included in ZenCart.

I have not a clue what your client had or wants as a skin/look for this new cart but most all designs are acheivable at least at a 90-95% match.

As you have posted that some items are downloadable PDF files, these really need to be setup as products inside of ZenCart to be capable of controlling the purchase, payment and subsequent download.
In my previous reply I asked about a new folder "aspnet_client" appearing in the public access folder, is this related to ZC or do I need to check with the host ?
I am fairly sure that this is a host folder and that asp is used for a win server...Zencart will run on win but prefers a linux/bsd server.

    Big Thanks kobra

I believe his reluctance to go to Linux is due to fact he previously had site on linux server and something got screwed up big time, but he didn't go into detail as to what.

I also think his only concern with the pages he already has and the Zen-Cart issue is maintaining the continuity of the sites look which I believe will just be a template or css thing, that can be sorted out later.

As I have saved a back-up of all the folders from the site pre ZC upload, all I really want to do at the moment is install ZC with a test database (his host provides 2 Mysql databases) and play around to see what can be done and what needs doing. I had found a thread giving details of test cart prior to my HDD failure will have to try and find it again

I have looked at a sample site you mentioned in a reply for another thread but couldn't tell if this site was designed around Zen Cart or if Zen Cart had been integrated into the existing site. (Site was to do with Tea & Tea Accessories).

In regard to the ASPNET folder I will email the host and check why that has suddenly appeared.

    Best Regards

    Keith

This is a ZenCart site Only.
I had found a thread giving details of test cart
If this is what I think, you just have to load the "Demo" DB to test it out.

Do you know what the previous cart was?

Think the thread gave few more details on using the included test cart samples, will try to do a deeper search later on.

Sorry, I don't have any details about his previous cart or host. There were a lot of broken/missing links when I first looked at the site, that I think related to the checkout process.

    Best Regards

    Keith
