Deleted banners how do i get back?

I've deleted all but one of the banners in 'Admin>Banner Manager'. Now i only have options for one group "SideBox-Banners"

How can i Add the other groups back in to 'Admin>Banner Manager', so that i can work on them or restore them?

The banner images exist in your_store_location/images/banners

If the images have actually been deleted you can copy them and ftp to your host from an expanded version of zencart.

Then use the banner manager in admin to re-associate them.

It's not the images I've deleted, it's the settings in 'Admin>Banner Manager' that are gone. What i need to do is get back these settings or i need a list of the names that the banners are called. Like i say i have one "SideBox Banners" but as for the rest!!!

When you say the settings ... do you mean the default values for the Banner Groups?

These can be any valid Banner Group name that you use in the banner manager ...

To make things simple, the defaults were set to:

Banner Display Groups - Header Position 1
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 2
Banner Display Groups - Header Position 3
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 1
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 2
Banner Display Groups - Footer Position 3 Wide-Banners
Banner Display Groups - Side Box banner_box SideBox-Banners
Banner Display Groups - Side Box banner_box2 SideBox-Banners
Banner Display Group - Side Box banner_box_all BannersAll

NOTE: to create a new group in the Admin ... Tools ... Banner Manager ...

Just type in the name in the input box where it reads:
Banner Group:

Once a Banner Group actually exists with a Banner ... it will automatically get added to the Dropdown for next time ...

You are most welcome ...

Note: you could call your Banner Group names anything up to 15 characters ... and the Banner Groups assigned to each Banner Area in the Layout Setting can be 1 to many Banner Groups ...

You are not limited to the Banner Group names we used, just keep them unique ...

Hi Ajeh,

I read and attempted what you said above, as I did the same thing with deleting all the previously created banners. I wrote in banner_box and banner_box_all in that field but it still doesn't show up. Do I need to change any other files? Sorry I am new to Zen Cart and am still learning. I appreciate any help you can give.

You go to the Banner Manager ... and assign the Banner to a Banner Group ...

You can call that Banner Group anything you want ...

First time, you will not see your Banner Group in the dropdown, type it in the box below ...

Second Time, you will see it in the Dropdown, as the Dropdown for the Banner Group name is self learning ...

Then ... go to the Layout Settings ...

Enter in one of the 8 Banner Group Lists the Banner Group name that you want to use ...

Note: the 9th group is the banner_box_all sidebox which is different than the others as this is not a rotating banner but rather a static banner or banners that always displays ...
