Error when processing credit cards

I get the following error when checking out on my site:

- Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any
information and try again or contact us for further assistance.

Anyone ever figure out what the problem is with this?

Which credit card payment module are you using? Is this using the standard Credit Card module included with Zen, or going through a payment gateway?

I'm using authorizen.net Aim.

Are you using the test environment or live transactions? If these are under live conditions, does the same happen with test cards on the test server?
