    Default Re: Where is centerBoxWrapper?

    Hi Linda,

    Thanks for responding. Actually, only part of my problem is solved. I was able to define a border around the "New Products for July" box. The problem that still exists is that the bottom border overlaps the only new product I have uploaded so far. I can't find out how to "expand" the box vertically so the bottom border is "below" the product.

    Thanks for any help!

    Probably an URL to your site would allow the template wizards of the forum to help you best ...

    I am but a mear coder and developer for Zen Cart ...

    And while I can make the code spit out what you need for design ... I cannot design my way out of a paper bag enough to explain how to do things ...

    I just type really really fast until I finally get the code to work with the layout and all is right in the world ...

    Hi Linda! Too funny! My site it not secure yet so I'd rather post a screen shot rather than the URL. You can see that the New Products box is really narrow and the only product I have is not "in" the box. My new product thumbnail is 100 px x 100 px. I only posted a portion of the product thumnail. On my screen the entire thumbnail appears - about 95% shows below the bottom of the box.

    Thanks

    I'm not sure what you mean by your site not being secure, but if you mean it's still under development, then we're very used to seeing sites in various stages of undress.

    Those of us who are more interested in the design and layout side of Zen Cart (though I think Linda is understating her abilities here) have an armoury of tools that we use to lift the hood of misbehaving sites and then prod and poke them until a solution emerges. Sadly this is rarely possible from a screenshot.

    I had the same problem. But I may have a solution for you. Look in your admin settings, under configurations ( I think ) for right side Globals property. Make sure it's on and it shouldn't overlap.

    But I have a problem. Have found thecenter wrapper in both the old and New and cannot changed the center colum to black. I've changed everything in both style sheetspertaining to white to Black for the background and nothing changes. What gives? I think we need a More simplified style sheet. The naming conventions sometimes don't make any sense to me.

    By old and new, do you mean the classic templates stylesheet_original and stylesheet_new?

    Just changing everything that is white to black won't necessarily cause the change you're wanting. It's possible that the thing you want to change may have no color, i.e. appear white by default and so not be mentioned in the stylesheet.

    If what you want to do is turn the background color for your center column black, then just add the following to your stylesheet_new
    .centerColumn, #navBreadCrumb {background-color:black}
