Images not uploading.. just can't understand why

I have been having numerious problems with this since I upgraded to 1.3.0.2, but it appears to affect any installation and i can't figure it out.

On one installation on a subdirectory I can upload images to products fine.

So I created a new domain name and installed a fresh 1.3.0.2, fresh DB, the lot, and now it tells me "Error: File upload not saved."

The images is 777, cache is 777, everything is the SAME as the sub domain.

I've tried this on so many domains, I must be missing something simple.. But Im banging my head against the wall.

Ok So i figured it out after HOURS of wasted time.

It turns out that in the config files, if you put the correct path, i.e.

/ * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical)
//the following path is a COMPLETE path to your Zen Cart files. eg: /var/www/vhost/accountname/public_html/store/
define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/var/www/vhosts/domain.co.uk/httpdocs/admin/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/var/www/vhosts/domain.co.uk/httpdocs/');

It WORKS

but if I put my proper path

/home/httpd/vhosts/domain.co.uk/httpdocs/

IT DOESNT!

Why is this??

Sounds like you need to talk to your hosting site about the proper path for your site ...

If the one in the configure.php is working, and your's is not ... I would suspect something perhaps has changed on your server?

No I checked the config for the subdomain site & also for the other domain.

My true path is what I put in the config, but if I put that it does not work.

We have hundreds of other scripts running on that /path/ and its never been a problem.

At least the problem is solved now. !

Sometimes ... even when using the same hosting site ... you can get one domain that is setup differently or changed during an upgrade ...

We do not make up the paths ... we just use them ...

What does your Tools ... Server Info ... tell you if you search for the word: home
