still on maintenance... when i try with ie it asks whether I want to display or not non secure items and it blocks my header background and one image from my sidebar... is there anyway to change these images to secure?
No clue what you are doing as I cannot see your site ...
But the rule of thumb is to be sure that all images are relative vs absolute ...

I had a similar problem and got the tip from someone to view the secure/nonsecure page in Firefox. Then use the tools/pageinfo/media...it will show you which images are causing the problem.

in firefox,
hit the broken padlock
it will popup a window,
view media
ALL images should start with https:
if not they are either hard coded, someone has made a change in the application top or you have one of those wonly setup hosts that requires changes to the core code for SSL to work

thanks merlin I did change all media to https but the padlock is still broken... do I need to have links under https as well? It works much better now with ie thanks guys though I'd love to have that padlock working properly
