installing grid mod sql patch

i'm trying to install the column grid mod but when i get to the install sql patches it doesnt go through.
i copy the code into the box and press send and it shows this:

Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admin/sqlpatch.php could not be found on this server.

but when i got to /admin/sqlpatch.php it's there.
should it be something else?

if you have access to phpmyadmin through cpanel or another source you might try applying the patch that way.
