Apache fatal error

Hi,

To upgrade from 1.2.7 to 1.3 while on holiday, I installed a fresh new 1.3 installation on my laptop (upgrading the database).

I made all necessary updates.

Back home, I wanted to make that run on my desktop before uploading.
No chance, always a fatal error (thus no error number) when trying to log in admin on my desktop.
I can see all the shop correctly as a customer.

I do have exact same install on both computers (PHP 4.4.2, Apache 1.3.35, MySql). Firewall turned of (I tried to turn of the version check).
I have lots of installations sychronizing with no problems (Blogs, websites,...). And phpmyadmin is logging just fine.

To make sure it was not from my files, I tried a 100% fresh install of zen-cart, no chance...

Anyone with tips I can dig in ?
After a few hours of work, I just can't figure out where to look.

You said you're getting a "fatal error".
Does it tell you anything "more" than that?
What is your apache errorlog saying at that stage?
Are you connected to the internet at the time this is happening?

Have you left any 'files' with permissions of 777, because that'll often generate a 500 Internal Server Error.
