Files containing SQL queries

Could someone point me to the file(s) within ZC containing the SQL queries/statements? (Not to do with the install.)

I'm particularly interested in queries relating to adding or updating products. So INSERT, UPDATE statements relating to the products, products_description, products_attributes, products_to_categories, etc tables.

Purpose: I need to create a super simple process to add or update products for some very non-tech users.

Go to the Admin ... Tools ... Developer's Tool Kit ...

In the bottom input box type in: INSERT

Select Catalog, Admin or Catalog/Admin ...

Click Search ...

Voila! Tons to choose from ...

Now do the same with UPDATE ...

Of course, 'tons' was a little bit what I was trying to avoid...

For curiousity's sake, to whomever would know & has time & inclination:

I note that in the standard admin/product.php page output a couple of the input names are done as arrays (e.g., 'name="products_name[1]"').
Just curious about the thinking behind this as opposed to doing them as simple vars.

I should have been clearer. I was referring to the output as received in the client browser.
