    It seems there are two contribs floating around right now, but I'm a little confused...

    $Id: rss2.php,v 1.0.1.34 2005-03-24 15:43:23 maurycy Exp $
    and
    $Id: rss2.php,v 1.1.0.2 2004/11/02 08:38:10 maurycy Exp $

    v1.1.0.2 seems to be a later version, as it includes a description cleaner (strips html), but the date is off.

    Is there anything more resent available?

    Thanks Neteasy!! Very much appreciated.

    PS I'm trying to add the autodiscovery link- will it not work with this file? I added the code yahoo suggested:

    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml"
    title="Yourtitle" href="path/to/feed/url">

    to my html_header.php, but I still don't get the symbol that it's working (the orange box on Firefox) and I tried to add it after <channel> in the rss2.php file but still no luck.

    Does anyone know how to get this hooked up with autodiscovery?

    Thanks!! Even if I can't get it working I'm still stoked I have this tool now to submit manually!

    Cheers-

    I have not employed this feature but in rss2.php (v.1.57) you will see the following two lines:

    PHP Code:
        $rss->rss_feed_set('content_type''text/xml');
    //    $rss->rss_feed_set('content_type', 'application/rss+xml');
    Try commenting out the first line and then UNcommenting the second line.

    Please let us know how you fare.

    numinix,

    Could you upload v.1.57 of the mod to the Zen Cart downloads area, please? I don't have access to the 1.57 zip from where I am, otherwise I would do it.

    Although Andrew suggested v.1.5x was only for testing (alpha), since he did not release his v.2.0 version before leaving the Zen Cart community, I'm sure all would be fine if you maintained the mod (as to your ability) and upload v.1.57 to the Zen Cart downloads area.

    RSS2 support should be integral to Zen Cart. Hopefully the Zen Cart team can make this happen in future ZC releases.

    Woody, to avoid confusion, please send me your email address via PM and I will send you the mod directly. Once it is documented correctly, I we can release it to the community. Without the documentation this thread will overflow with questions. Furthermore, Andrew's mod does not clean the descriptions properly causing the feed to error. I've corrected this but would like you to look at it as well. Perhaps we can work on version 1.5.8 which will be fully documented and fixed of any known issues. Future versions could possibly be supported from the admin.

    What's the final word on this contribution? Any chance it will be available to us all?

    Thanks.

    I'm planning to clone my Google Base Feeder script into an RSS generator but haven't done so yet due to lack of time...

    I too await patiently for a release of the RSS mod.

    Thanks for working on it!
