I need to prevent access for while how do I do this? Is there a way to turn it off?

In the Web Maintenance is Down for Maintenance ...
You can set your IP Address(es) in there as well to allow you to see the site but no one else ... they will see the Down for Maintenance page ...Linda McGrath
