Link Review sidebox to product displayed

Has anyone ever customised either the reviews or testimonials sideboxes to show only reviews or testimonials relating to the product currently being displayed? And to show a random review if on non product pages. I've done a search but can't find anything related.

Alternatively what about displaying the reviews on the product info page rather than the Reviews button?

The sidebox changes to show a current review for the product on the product _info page or the Write Review shows ...

When not on the product _info page it selects a random review ...

NOTE: you could customize the product _info pages to include the reviews ...

Takes a bit of work but it can be done ...

Question then is can the sidebox be modified to show all related reviews?

27 reviews in a sidebox ... ummm ... er ... well ... you could ... but that is gonna be awfully messy ...

Clicking on the Reviews Link on the product _info page takes you that products reviews and you can show how many there are ...

I agree however the cart is a rebuild from a non zen site cart which has related reviews coded onto the product pages in the left nav section. So the reviews box would seem to be the logical place to display them but it needs to show probably a max of three and if they are random not to repeat any. Does that make sense? Feasible?
