Help With Downloads...

I even just put this in AbcBabyList.zip
and it still has that darn red dot.

Did you FTP the file: AbcBabyList.zip

Into the directory on your site for: /download

Or is it still sitting in the misspelled directory /downloads

I changed the downloads to download in my ftp file
there is no longer an s. I also went into the abbitrube area and changed each file with out an s in it.

Could I have placed the file in the wrong place ? Were do I put it in the Zen-cart ?

All files for downloads get loaded to the /download directory ...

The download files you physically add via FTP to your site ... by just loading them to the /download directory ...

Now when you add the filename of the download to the Attribute you will see the green dot when the filename you type in matches one of the files in the /download directory ...

If there is no match this dot is red to warning you of a typo or missing filename ...

Ok I must be confused or missing something here. WERE is the File /download in the zen-cart section ?
I did this all in the ftp of the cpanel.
Now its telling me I have a missing file so somwere along the lines I Did not have the file place right.. now were in the Zen cart do I put it.. is there anothe spot?

Looking at your website you should see:
/admin
/docs
/download
/email
/includes
index.php
etc.

/download is on the same level as /includes and /admin

It is in that directory, /download that you FTP your download files from your PC to your website ...

So you would FTP from your PC to your website the file: AbcBabyList.zip

and put it in the /download directory ...

Then, when you make an Attribute and type in the filename: AbcBabyList.zip

This will now show the green dot as it finds the file in:
/download/AbcBabyList.zip

NOTE: get a real FTP program ... the one in CPanel will cause more grief than not

I use FlashFXP ... which has never caused issues on uploads and downloads ... this is not a free FTP program but for the benefits it has given me all these years I will continue to pay for this wonderful program ...

There are other FTP programs that are available for free that others can recommend ...

ftp is something that confuses me too. This is why I rather pay people to do this type of thing for me.. but I will con't to be poor if I do this. LOL
I will try and play around to see if I can figure this out. If I don't I am sure I will be back for more help. Thank you again.
