need to get rid of category menu in main page

I got rid of the category listing that ran along the top of the page and have the category box on the left hand side. I'm very happy with that. I also changed the main area to look the way I want. Now, for some reason, I have a categoryListBoxContents running under the area I defined in the Define Page section (Tools>Define Page Editor). I just need to know which setting to change to get rid of it. I've looked and looked and can't seem to find it.

Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF

Thanks, but that's for the list above, which I already have as off.

Oops, you were right. I had to turn off the category on main page then go to Index Listing and choose which categories I wanted to display.

I do not want to turn mine off just want to get it to match the edges of my side boxes. Please see site here: www.majikalpath.com/zencart See how the menu bar just continues on.. I have looked at all the template files but do not see where the change would be to allow the break in the proper area... any help would be appreciated....
