Need Help Combining Shipping (version 1.2.7)

I need help regarding combining shipping on my website...I need to know how to combine the shipping cost if the same person would buy more than one item...I don't want them to be charged the same shipping cost per item, I want if they buy a second item than the shipping cost would be less for the second item...How would I do this?

I tried looking in the web, but couldn't find anything to do that..Please help me with this...Thanks

I sell 2 different items...The first item i sell I charged $4.00 for
shipping and the second item $1.00 for shipping...

Now if a customer were to purchase one item, that wouldn't be a problem....

But if the same customer were to buy more than one item, that is were the problem
is...

I need to charge them shipping when they buy more than one item,
but I don't want the customer to be charge again the same shipping,

I want to combine shipping where it will be less...

Does each quantity of the first Product get charged $4.00?

quantity 1 = $4.00
quantity 2 = $8.00
quantity 3 = $12.00


Does each quantity of the second Product get charged $1.00?

quantity 1 = $1.00
quantity 2 = $2.00
quantity 3 = $3.00

Use the Per Unit perweightunit Shipping Module ...

Set the products_weight for the first Product to 4

Set the products_weight for the second Product to 1

Now this will act as a per product per quantity charge on Shipping ...
