Default Same files are spread all over the program. Why???

Hi, Can anyone explain for me how it comes that Z-C randomly uses files like email_extras.php????

Sometimes it uses /root/includes/languages/swedish/email_extras.php - (NOT translated to Swedish)
    And some times
    /root/admin/includes/languages/swedish/email_extras.php - (translated to Swedish)

I only have one language installed now (Swedish).

Why is it necessary to have the same files spread all over the program????? Would it not be enough to have one file per language??????

the two directories you mention...one is for the admin side and the other is for the catalog side...need them in both places since admin and catalog work somewhat seperately

Ok, but how comes that sometimes ZC uses the email_extras.php in /root/admin/includes/languages/swedish/ and sometimes the one in /root/includes/languages/swedish/ ???? One is translated to swedish and the other is on english.

Some files can you also find 2-3 of in each language but different folders

    root/admin... is the admin side
    root/includes... is that catalog side

There are many files in zen named the same thing but in differnt levels of the directory...I'm no coding expert, but I expect they are there for a reason
I also notice sometimes when I ftp files, the same folder might show , 2, 3 or whatever of thisfile.php...until I refresh and then it shows properly

PeterBKK, I know what you have been through... Agree - why define the same variable more than once, like the email disclaimer?

Also, it's not really obvious why a language file in admin effects text seen by customers, as in email_extras.php. But I think a consolidation/cleanup is planned :-)

    Ok,
    here we go,
some emails are handled ONLY by the admin code,
some emails are handled on the catalog side of the code,
the reason they are seperate is to keep the Admin and the client side TOTALLY seperate.
