about size and stock, help please

Hi,
I sell rings, a small number of 3 or 4 different sizes (3 in size 6, 3 in size 7, etc)
To have effective stock tracking, and be sure of not having someone pay for a size which is no longer available, is the only solution to treat different sizes of a same product separately as if they were different products altogether?

As long as you have only a few variables you might look at the corss sell contribution in the downloads section, it might allow you to do what you want until stock by attributes is added to Zencart.
