Where to post to show up in "new posts"

I have posted several threads, and always try to pick the relevant category. But they don't show up in the "new posts", and thus rarely get answered. Is there a particular place I can post that will make it appear in New Posts, and hopefully get more attention? :)

As far as I know all posts show as new posts, you won't see your own but all of the other users will see it in their new posts, no matter what category you post in (with the exception of Commercial help wanted because those posts are subscriber only posts.

Uh...thank you. egg on face. Of course it wouldn't show to me if I'm logged in. I already read it since I posted it! I guess.
