    Default Shipping for product categories?

    Hello!

I have been searching and searching on the forum for an answer but can't find one...

I am building a shop for someone who sells goods in different product categories. Category 1 costs £1.75 to ship, and category 2 costs £6.95 to ship. Orders over £60 are free shipping.

I understand how to set the orders over £60 to free shipping, but how do I set up the different product category shipping amounts?

Thank you very much for your time and help!

One method would be to use the Per Unit Shipping Module perweightunit and enter the products_weight as the Shipping Price ...

This will translate to the "weight" as if it were the actual Shipping Charge

    Dear Linda,

Thank you so much for your time and effort in answering my question! I really appreciate it. In the meantime my partner came up with a different solution as well, by using the Table Rate module and using the different shipping amounts for different weight bands.

All products set to 0grs weight cost £1.75 to ship, all products up to 250grs weight cost £6.95, within each of the latter products I set a weight of 10grs for each, because at a total of £60 people get free shipping anyway. I can use this to set many more different shipping rates for different products, so that is absolutely great and totally saved my life :-)

Thank you again so much for your efforts, Linda, you are brilliant!

    Johanna
