image location

can someone just clarify this for me please

If i have the pictures of all the shoes I sell in a directory called

images/footwear

do the _LRG images go in

images/large/footwear ??

and does it matter if the images names all look like this

1234-01.jpg
1234-01_MED.jpg
1234-02_LRG.jpg

found the answer to the directory question. Which only leaves the images names

there is nothing wrong with my naming conventions just my method of adding products to the database

As all of the threads on setting up the Product image indicate ...

The image stored in the database when a Product is added/edited is the "base" image ...

Example:
wallaby.jpg

You add your image wallaby.jpg to your /images directory ...

Base image name: wallaby
Base image extention: .jpg

Medium Image:
wallaby_MED.jpg
/images/medium

Large Image:
wallaby_LRG.jpg
/images/large

Additional Images:
wallaby_01.jpg
wallaby_02.jpg
wallaby_03.jpg
wallaby_abc.jpg
wallaby_9zy7.jpg
/images

Additional Large Images:
wallaby_01_LRG.jpg
wallaby_02_LRG.jpg
wallaby_03_LRG.jpg
wallaby_abc_LRG.jpg
wallaby_9zy7_LRG.jpg
