Well, the good news is that I just installed a 1.3.6 test site (no mods except ask a question) and it works perfectly. So this may have been one of the mail bugs that was fixed in 1.3.5 (see changelog for details - Dr Byte said there were a couple). Please also see this wiki page:

I've installed 1.36 and all mail works perfectly however the ask a question mod doesn't work. Ie everything seems fine but I receive nothing. I've tried on php, sendmail and smtp.
I'm using the 1.35 mod updated on 23/9. There's no newer updates other than that. Anyone having the same problems?![]()

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this problem.
I've got everything working OK, but for some reason when you send the 'question' form, it stays on a blank page. I do receive the email, and if I use the back button to go back to the form, I see the confirmation message that it was sent.
Is this some PHP error?

I just installed your current AAQ on a fresh Zen Cart 1.36 install. After I send a message via the AAQ contact form I observe "Your message has been successfully sent." However I am not receiving the email messages. Although I'm receiving all other email messages sent by the shopping cart.
I did not see anything on the wiki page which addressed my specific issue. Any ideas/recommends?

Try doing a "Contact Us" and be sure it gets to you. AAQ uses the Contact Us mechanism.

Oops. Didn't have the email client set-up correctly. It works and I like ;-)
BTW it would be a cool feature if the AAQ email subject line could be defined based on which product page the inquiry came from, rather than the generic "Message from My Store" subject line. I see the product is listed in the body of the email but nicer if it could be in the subject. Just a wishlist item ;-)

I have installed Ask A Question (AAQ) on my system twice. The message link appears on my product page but when clicked the email page and any info on the product does not appear – It’s a blank page. I have followed the ReadMe file with the mod, but does anyone have more detailed info. Thanks in advance for your support.

If you're getting a blank page there's an error in your PHP. Look at your server logs to track down the offending line.

OK, I think I know the answer to this question, but I need to ask anyway...
I installed the modification, but I don't see the "Ask a Question" link.
I did modify the tpl_product_info_display.php in my custom directory (includes/templates/custom/templates/) as per the read me file.
As I mentioned, I don't see the link, and when I view the source on my product detail page, I don't see the comments I made in conjunction with the modification. I quadruple checked that I copied the file to the right spot, and I uploaded all the other files. Is there anything else obvious that I could be missing, or am I just making a stupid mistake?
