posting ( ' ) in attribute text boxes

customers are not able to type things like mary's in the text box - this produces MySQL error.

How can I fix this easily?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Was this a clean or an upgrade?

If an upgrade, what did you upgrade from?

This issue was fixed a long time ago ...

What happens if you switch to Classic ... does the error go away?

Have you an URL that we can peek at to this Product?

As long as you follow the upgrade instructions and follow the procedures by the letter as, also, making a full package of your store, (files and db), it never hurts (or rarely) to upgrade to the latest release to keep our stores up-to-date.

I would recommend that you make a test site /new_shop and a test database

Copy all of your files from your Live Site to the /new_shop and backup your Live database and load it into the test database ...

Edit in the:
/new_shop/includes/configure.php
/new_shop/admin/includes/configure.php

The paths and database name, username and password

Now do a Practice upgrade ...

Run the /zc_install and do the Upgrade on the database ...

This will let you see where you will need changes, updates etc.

You can take your time doing this ... and not rush things ...

When you think all is working right, backup your Live database again ...

Drop the tables from your test database and load the Live database into it and again, run the Upgrade on the database in the /zc_install

test test test

If all is right, now you are ready to take your Live Site Down for Maintenance ...

Do a fresh backup of the Live database ...

Again, drop the tables to your test database and load the Live backup ...

Run the /zc_install to Upgrade the database ...

test test test

If all is right, edit the two configure.php files to now use the correct Live site paths ... do not change the database as your test database will become your new Live Shop database ...

You can now rename your Live site to /old_shop and rename you /new_shop to your Live site directory

test test test

If all is good to go, then take your Live Site off of Down for Maintenance ...

Be safe! Backup your database and website before you begin to make any changes or upgrade ...

marc ... how about try it for giggles yourself as you are doing a test upgrade not a real upgrade and see if you get lost or can manage it ...

There are quite a few differences in the templates now in v1.3.0.2 ... but from the looks of your site, I don't believe you will have a total nightmare ...

But try it for yourself first ...

If you get really lost and befuddled ... give me a yell in PM and we can see who's who in the zoo ...
