    Default your template file

    ok i've made a bunch of changes to my zencart i'm just, and i don't want to loose them if i upgrade, what do i have to do to prevent this, i keep seeing people putting their pages in a my template file, what's this all about as i couldn't find anything on this subject

    Your Template file is a file/folder that you create. Simply it is the folder inside of your template folder that contains all of your changes.

    Simply create a folder in includes/templates named whatever you want so you now have includes/templates/MYTEMPLATE

    Remember you also have to edit the Template_info.php to name your custom template.

    Once you do this and activate the theme that is residing in the MYTEMPLATE folder, zen then notes that it should look for files in the MYTEMPLATE folder throughout the system and use those files first, and in place of the default files.
