SEFU using 404

Has anyone done SEFU using a 404 redirect with zen cart on a M$ server? Since mod-rewrite is not an option for windows servers. I seached the boards and found nada which leads me to believe it may not be possible.

I have seen some ASP solutions that do this but not sure if it doable in PHP.
