I need to search only titles and not descriptions (help/edit)

i need to make the site search in the side box only search the titles because my boss wants it that way. i'm not sure which search files i need to edit but in this thread the doc (DrByte) says to edit this file:

now, where do i edit it so that it doesn't search the descriptions and just the titles? my boss wants it to return only the correct items. for instance you ask for supercharger you get only the superchargers not things that might work with super chargers or anything with super charger in the description. for instance i have 8 superchargers in my store. someone searches and currently they'll get 41 items back.

oh, i edited the 2 files in the tpl that says 'search_in_description' to zero. that took out a few but still left 23

wierd stuff

if you search for roller in the quick search you get even controller and that can't happen.

secondly i changed it to not search in the header but if you search for super charger it brings up results that have super or charger nowhere in the item. not even the category or anything. something is broken here and i'm not sure howt o fix it. i don't even know where the code is suposed to be for the quick search. i'm actually lost on this one
