Default Long email orders not being sent?

I've encountered this problem twice in the past few days.

A large order is placed, perhaps ten lines of items. The order is written to the bookstore, the order is sent to Authorize.net and the transaction is completed properly (but itemization is incomplete) and the order does NOT get sent to us in email. I imagine that the customer does not receive it, either.

The next order, usually smaller, also does not get sent in email, but its itemization is complete in Authorize.net.

By the third order, things are back on track.

Is there a max/min control that regulates how much data goes into an email?

Or could this be a problem with the server and sendmail?

Suggestions of where to look first? Seems to me that I never saw this before the latest update to 1.3.0.2.

    THANKS!!!!

    ---Diana

No, there are no special limitations anywhere.

It is technicly possible that more severe ISPs could set a certain restriction limit over email to avoid flooding over their email servers. However, I find this technic a little bit paranoid, since emails are already encrypted during the time you check your emails. Unless you sent a huge mount of body message (like posting massive codes directly - on-the-fly in the body header - that could be one reason but would, usually, have to be massive to set that kind of restriction even there).

Here's a solution. Since DrByte mentionned above that there aren't any restrictions involved over the email processing from zen-cart, you could always test yourself a message that contained the same size as the email you describe (outside Zen-Cart - regular email client software) to see if you're encountering the same restriction.
