left column box problems

So I edited the column size and took off the right column and now the left column changes sizes when you nav through the links in the left column (specifically the home is one size, all products is another size, then the other links are a completely different size than home or all products)... How did I break this? Any ideas? All I did was change the column and box size. (I've changed them back to default and to different sizes numerous times to try to reset it).

Well, I have never seen this from what you have described that you have done.

Are you setting this in the admin > configuration > Layout Settings??

Remember to include the "px" when you change these values in Admin e.g. "150px" not just "150", otherwise browsers may simply ignore the value and assign column widths to each coulmn depending upon what it makes of the content of each. As this content will vary from page-to-page, so will the column widths ... sound familiar?
