Error Processing CC - PayPal Pro

Hello All,
I am in the final stages of setting up a shopping cart site and have run into a snag w/ zen cart. I am hoping I am overlooking something simple.... in fact, I'm pretty sure I am, since I'm pretty much a zen-noob :-P

When I enter CC info during checkout, I get an error, "There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again.".

I am using PayPal Pro and have the paypal Direct Payment modules installed. Again, as stated, I'm a noob, so maybe I'm overlooking something really simple. I am not able to use Authorize.net based on the nature of the business, and fear that without the use of authorize.net, I won't be able to process/validate CC's correctly. So, anyway... I believe there is further integration that needs to take place, but I'm not sure where to start. Any input/advice or links for people that are trying the same would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm... I thought that there was a workaround for this?

Any recommendations for a payment gateway if they are truly incompatible?

no there is no zen supported or recognized workaround,

what exactly is express checkout ?

is there is a reason zen doesn't support it or people just haven't got around to implementing it ?

nm , looks like its in the works but may be a while because its a pain in the ########
