mysql patch error message

I am somewhat to the program and like it a lot. I just made a new installation of Zen Cart version 1.3.0.2 using an older version 1.2.6 of the mysql database which had been previously installed. I get the following message that the patch is not installed but it shows on the updates. should i just delete the old database and reinstall everything or is there an easy fix ??
there are some things i would like to add to the products items such as a location for inventory and other items, where would i find a chart that shows which files get affected without going through all the code ??

These two lines should be in sync. It seems the last upgrade step from 1.3.0.1 to 1.3.0.2 didn't get applied. Go back to the zc_install process, and on the system-inspection page, choose Database-Upgrade. Run/re-run the step from 1.3.0.1 to 1.3.0.2.

This is a fairly involved process, depending on what exactly you're trying to accomplish. You'll find more detailed information related to this sort of discussion in the Product Types section of the forum: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=29
You might try looking at one of the custom product types as an example of which files are adjusted and why.
There's also documentation in the /docs folder of the Zen Cart ZIP talking about product types at a higher level.
