controlling shipping

I have a client that prefers to deliver his products if its within certain zip codes (within 30 mile radius of his office) as opposed to using shipping. Any suggestions on how to automatically remove shipping and the cost if the customer is in certain zip codes?

Try using the table rate module and if the zip codes coincide with his radius set these as a rate of zero.
