    Default configuration issue

    Hello,
How do I uninstall and start over? Im brand new here. The tables were loaded into my functional database which has since become unfunctional. Am I missing something about overriding my scripts? Is uninstallation the way to go?

    Lost in space,

How & who did the initial Install??

If you have FTP access to your site you can delete the cart files and reinstall. you might also need to drop the tables from your DB with phpmysql a application most hosts provide.

If none of thsi is making any sense to you post back with the answers to my opening statement and also what type of host access you have i.e. cPanel or other.

Hi. and thanks for your time.

I have all db privilages on the files. I did the install. Its on my local machine for the moment(running Apache). I was able to drop the tables from my website database in MySQL(Using MySQL Query Browser). I then removed all files from the root folder(so I think) to my desktop. I then reinstalled from the ZIP as did the first time. This time I changed the path of the tables to a seperate db, NO db caching, and NO examples. All looks fine after dropping initial tables that were mixed with my web tables. However, still the same lack of functionality. My header files seem to be getting overridden formerdatabasename.products not availble is the error im getting. Should I scrap all files and reinstall from scratch? Or perhaps change override configurations in the admin folder of zencart? Does Zen Cart change files in my PHP or MySQL directories? Hope not. Any words would be appreceiated. Its been about a 24 hour belly ache.

    Thanks.
    Jeremy

Jeremy, I suspect your problem is related to using old configure.php files in your new install ... because database name information is stored in them.
    There are two of them:

    /admin/includes/configure.php
    /includes/configure.php

They are the only place where the database name is set.
