    HTMLArea

    Hi

    I want to use HTMLArea

I have in Configuration - My shop changed the settng HTML editor to HTMLArea

But HTMLArea dosent show up when editing products, categories, define page editor and so on.

I have choosed it in the drop down box.

Is there at setting somewhere I need to turn on or something?

I have installed a language more. Do I then need to change something to see the editor?

    Looking forward to your reply

    Thanks

    Kind Regards
    Kim

    Kim,
I believe that the default HTML area install does not work w/ any browser but IE. I am going to attach my mod for you so that you can use html area in all browsers.
Things to note html area is not a very good program in this day and age. it had great potential but dev for it stopped. You may want to consider using a better WYSIWYG like FCK editor. Again the plug in for it that is for ZC is for IE only but I am going to be working on making in universally used soon.

I would still suggest that you use IE if you have an XP box. if you are running a mac, the Fire Fox is your best bet.

Just to add to this - I did a clean install of 1.3.0.2 and I also cannot use the HTML Area. I have all the settings correct but to no avail. and I am using both IE, Firefox and SlimBrowser. Not sure if it's a bug in the system?

another thing, if you want to use a WYSIWYG, and you have a machine w/ IE on it. you may want to use FCKeditor it is a little better.

I've been following this thread and trying to figure out how to actually use a different editor as well. I'm sold on tinymce, but have no idea how to add it as an option in Zen.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have FireFox and IE and the HTML editor only works with FireFox. Does not work with IE. Have Windows XP.
