shipping weight issues

I want to remove the shipping weight from the product page and check out. of course when they click calcualate shipping it would be there...thanks

Try admin > catalog > product types > at the right "edit Layout> Shipping weight > set to "0".

it is set to 0... so is "all listing" everywhere i could find a display weight.. i changed to 0... stilll displays.....

displays in product discription and shopping cart still... *sigh* i have looked everywhere for additional settings..... cant seem to find them... thanks again for your help

You turned this off in:

Catalog ... Product Type ...
Edit Layout on each Product Type you want off ...

You turned it off in each of the listings:
New Listing
Featured Listing
All Listing

You turned it off in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...

Display Number of Boxes and Weight Status
Display Shipping Weight and Number of Boxes?

0= off
1= Boxes Only
2= Weight Only
3= Both Boxes and Weight

yes i have made all the changes and the weight still displays

How about an URL to where you are seeing weight displayed ... perhaps we are not explaining one of the spots to customize clearly enough ...

Sure www.idiame.com/shoppingcart/ check any item.... they all show shipping weight...... and i verified your post and everything is set to 0.... thanks.....

Click through each Product type and turn off each weight you do not want to see ...

Show Weight
Display Weight on Product Info 0= off 1= on

Configuration ...
Layout Settings ...

Shopping Cart - Show Totals
Show Totals Above Shopping Cart?
0= off
1= on: Items Weight Amount
2= on: Items Weight Amount, but no weight when 0
3= on: Items Amount
