    Default Accessing PayPal shipping rates?

Forgive me if this info is clearly available somewhere - I've checked the seemingly relevant Admin areas, FAQ, etc. but still shaky on this whole concept.

I'm basically ready to go live with my ZC setup for a client of mine. He has set up a PayPal account and used the "range" method of setting up shipping costs on his PayPal admin page.

I've enabled PayPal via ZC but when I tried a test transaction, the first thing I got was a single radio button on Step 1 that said "Best Way", set to $5.

I turned off "flat rate shipping" - where I see this $5 amount was set - but now I can't get to Step 2 of checkout - presumably because all shipping options are off.

How do I set it up so my shipping rates from PayPal are used by ZC - or do I in fact have to recreate those price points within ZC?

Is this what Table Rate is all about?

Sorry, I'm also pretty new to this more serious PayPal stuff as well (barely ahead of my client on this!) so a bit daunted.

    Looking forward to your help!

You will be better off to recreate the price points in ZC and turn shipping off in paypal.com

Hmm... one thing though.... I set up Table based shipping, enabled it based on cost, and... my cart says $0 for shipping no matter what's in it!

    Why would that be?

    Thanks....!

Never mind, it was the most obvious thing, I simply had mistyped the settings for Table based shipping.

when you get to paypal.com it will show $0 for shipping.
zencart passes the entire total to paypal rather than splitting out shipping

I have the same problem but with me I would also like to switch off all shipping cost features in ZC and use the one in Paypal. The reason being that I also use PayPal's shopping cart buttons on an associated site and find that there is a conflict when using the ZC shipping feature. So, for example if my paypal shipping cost is set to £2.50 then when ZC gets there it also tries to charge an extra £2.50. Very confusing when ZC does not split shipping cost at paypal stage.

Is it possible to get to stage 2 of checkout with all shipping modules off as per the original posting above and simply put a note on the checkout pages saying "postage will be added at paypal payment page" or something similar.
if elephants could fly, I'd be a little more optimistic....
